Live edge cedar king bed that i just finished making for my wife. The headboard & footboard are 2 1/2” thick and are attached to the legs with mortise & tenon joints and secured with glue & pegs that I made. The side rails go through the headboard & footboard & are held in place with a folding wedge tusk tenon. This bed comes apart for easier moving. This bed is all wood & does not have any metal in it whatsoever. I cut the tree & milled the lumber myself. Everything came from 1 cedar log except for the 8 wedges that i made from some spalted oak that I had lying around. I finished the bed with boiled linseed oil & covered it with laquer. Once the laquer is cured im planning on applying a couple layers of wax.
