I have one spot in my space to fit a workbench but has to straddle a fridge and AC, and so it’s a compromise and definitely built to fit the space. It’s highly mobile and just having the frame on wheels prior to finishing it has made my life easier. First time I’ve had a workbench at normal standing height.

It’s solid maple with veneer pieces I cut from glue-ups, and then use a hand miter box.

I finally gave water-based poly a try to avoid yellowing, and I think I’m converted. First time ever I have maple that looks like I imagine it in my head. And that I don’t have to leave the shop for hours while it dries is a bonus.

Well done. Bench looks nice and you made it work with the given space. Sometimes that can take a lot of creativity and this certainly is one of those. You’ve gotten the most out of the space and the design is very good looking.

Your bench is very nice….I need a bench about that size and shape to do my leather crafting on. The drawers are a nice touch, and extra storage is a must have, if possible. Stellar job…..!!!

So then it’s a built around, as opposed to a built in?

Nice job.

Great looking work bench. Not sure I would want to do any real dirty work on it.
