Here is a “Unicorn” jewelry box that I made for my “little girl” (41 years old, now :-) who still loves unicorns.

The marquetry was made using the stack method with thin (1/42”) veneers consisting mostly of anigre, Hawaiian koa and Australian lacewood and coachwood.

The box itself, measuring 8-3/4×7-3/4×3-1/2”, is made of solid Hawaiian koa. I’ve lined the trays with imported Japanese washi paper.

Very nice Bob, elegantly simple, simply elegant.
Good to see you back.

You have captured the true beauty of the unicorn.
I love your choice of woods.

Thanks for sharing.

The skill to pull this off is like a unicorn, it doesn’t exist. Except in your case. GREAT job! My daughter is also a unicorn fan so I can’t let her see this or I will have another project on the to do list.
