I was commissioned to make a fireplace cover that you lay over your fireplace during the off season as a decoration.

It was made out of maple and then dyed various shades using General Finishes Water Based Dyes and then finished with poly acrylic.

The colors are a combination of Pewter, Medium Brown, Vintage Cherry, and a little mixing in in between to give intermediate shades.

Questions and comments are welcome!

Really neat. Is it for the same person as the window transom? Really turned out well.

It is for the same person as the transom window haha. I used the same color and theme to link the two decor-wise
