Tennessee Black Walnut 10 Seat Dining Table

Just finished making this 10 Seat Black Walnut table. Living in South Africa it was a real treat to obtain some of this. And what a pleasure to work with! It machines / finishes beautifully and is very stable.

The table features a breadboard end on the top and tabered legs.

It is interesting that wherever you live, the wood from “over there” is exotic and desirable.

I live 20 miles from tennesee and have walnut growing like weeds on my property. (They are hard to kill too.) I like it very much. Still, I would like some African wood.
