Lumber storage

Nothing that hasn’t already been designed, built, and posted here, but this project was new to me, and what a relief (as you can see from the before picture) to get my sheet goods and scraps organized!

A couple of minor differences I hadn’t seen though:

  • Instead of heavy duty casters, I used a couple of Harbor Frieght moving dollies. $8/each and they claim to hold 1000 lbs each.
  • And instead of just lumber racks above, I put in a shelf to get my smaller scraps (which I’m very attached to, and use all the time) out of the way. If I’d had more overhead clearance, I’d have put up another set, but this will work for my little shop.

I’m determined to be disciplined in my keep this organized, and staying with the idea that if it doesn’t fit here, I have enough already.

Thanks for looking!

Nicely done and good use of space.

The biggest one thing I see, is it is so tidy looking, and totally out of the way. If everything that was in the last pic, is now housed in that tidy package, pat yourself on the back for me, will ya.

Maybe they are all ideas you had previously seen, but I haven’t seen them assembled so well as this.

Great job, thanks for posting.
