This one is made from solid birch, walnut, and a birch veneered bottom panel. Features laminated construction that gives the box joints a unique look. Also the lid is hinged by 1/8” brass pins. Finished in satin lacquer, and is lined in ruby red velvet.

nice contrast – the birch appears to be curly

Thanks and yes there is some curl (flame) in the birch.

Lots of nice things on this box. I like the cut out on the bottoms of the 4 sides…little things like that can make all the difference visually…nice work!

Beautiful build and the box joints are really accentuated with the lamination.
