About a year and a half ago, I was working and randomly got the text that everyone her has gotten, a picture from the misses, with the caption “can you make me something like this”.

To start the project I went digging through my firewood pile to find some suitable material. Found a bunch of elm “sticks” that I sawed down and mocked something up to see what kind of a design she would prefer. I worked slowly on the project off and on, and finally was able to check it off my list earlier this year.

So I presented it her and she loved it. The other day I got a picture from her after she decorated it, with a beach theme.

The main construction is elm firewood, that was worked then a channel cut to support the glass sheets. The bottom is a piece of elm lumber. All the wood used came from our property
