My friend’s son-in-law is involved in a wood chipping business in British Columbia. The company scours all lumber mills in the north west here in Canada and has developed a wood chipping business whose product is shipped to Asian manufacturers. The boot came from a short piece of pine given to me.
I squared the log so that a boot blank could be cut safely and efficiently. Then it was up to me to round off the corners and a boot came into being. I saved this pine wood from becoming a sheet of chip board. The Chipper’s
boot now sits proudly on a shelf for all to admire.
