KDC, I like this box. You have made a nice selection of wood. The walnut has a nice curl in it. The handle is well done. Its shape adds interest and is functional. The dovetales and corners show your craftsmanship. Nice work. The proportions of the box are good and the over all proportions are good.

As to criticisms: It is difficult to tell some things from pictures, so I might be wrong about this, but it looks like your sides are 3/4” for a small box 5/8’’ works better. In general a hinged box works better than a lift-off lid. You might look here for suggestions on installing hinges. Though it is mechanically simple, there is always the problem of where do you set the lid down, or working one handed if you have a lift-off lid.

You have done a great job on this box. It is attractive and well made. Keep boxing and keep posting.

Thanks but this is 1/2” material. Appreciate the “advice”, but it isn’t necessarily asked for

Nice DT box. I really like feet, and while the ones here aren’t tall, they aren’t a flat body laying on a table, that bit of elevation helps lift it up, nicely. The handle form is also an upgraded shape.

Nice work, congrats on your 3.
