Push blocks for the jointer

These push blocks are easy to make, 3.5×6 and 4×12, with the handles glued on and a cleat glued to the bottom of the long one. Then I glued some carpet pad to the bottom of the small one.

Those should do the trick…..!! Any shop made tools or jigs are just the ticket when you need specific items….!!

We used to use mouse pads, but you hardly see them anymore. Anything more grippy than the wood works though. I would probably use the one with a heel on it. Just put my hand over it, instead of into the handle though. Don’t want to be trapped inside if weird stuff happened.
