Hand Chiseled used magnet hand saw guide. 100+ hour project.

I’ve built this chest for the White House, they got my great great great grandfathers steel mill running again in Granite City, IL

22inch wide planks where used, Purple Heart and Satin Wood. Hand Chiseled took 100 hours.

Wonderful DT chest. Did you get any feedback? Sounds like a win for your local economy.

Thanks for posting.

That is a stunning piece of work. Pres. Trump will be thrilled to receive it and honor you for it.

It was arround $600 of wood and I made the small inlaid dovetail box with the larger chests scraps. Hand Chiseled both. I hate dovetail jigs.

That inlaid dovetail box is stunning tpalm.
Sweet job and nice finish. Your dovetailing is fantastic and the rounded corners along with the inlay really are cool.
I think that small box deserves a post of its own.
Sometimes people will view a post once and not check back on it afterwards. I almost did that too but I’m glad I checked back in and took a look.

Hey Jon,

Thank you, I am a terrible letter carver though. So dovetails are a different skill in itself. I like things square.

I don’t like Trump, but as he might say to one of his sexual assault victims:

Nice chest.

Seriously, very nice.
