Entertainment center made from old dresser

The previous owners of my house left the two speakers and a TV mount. After selecting a TV, I designed this entertainment center around the speakers and TV. I used an old 9 drawer dresser as the foundation. You can see it in the last picture.

It looks like a built-in, but it’s really not. The only part that is attached to the wall is the mantle and attached panel. There is a 8” deep filler between the dresser and the wall. I needed that because my largest component, CD Jukebox, was too deep for the dresser. The filler has a panel attached to it that goes up behind the TV. There are two pillars (one on each side of the TV) that sit on top of the filler.

With this arrangement, I can slide the dresser forward if I need access to the wires. If I need to remove the TV, the pillars can be easily removed to get access to the mounts. If I ever decide to get a bigger TV, I’d need to rework the pillars to make them thinner.
