Segment bowl of maple and purple heart. 18 segments per ring. 14 segments. The purple heart segments where made 3/4 thick (approx) then cut in half with a small Dremel circular saw. Don’t try this on the band saw. Bad idea. Finish is WOP. Also, I used the “stomper” to glue this up, that helped with the balance of the glue ups. I used the Incra 1000 hd to cut the segments. Very accurate and quick, just cut and flip up full ring with band clamps. Thanks for looking.

The purple heart sure makes the maple look white, nice work!

Purple heart is such an amazing wood species. I can get it here locally, but its way expensive.

What glue do you use for glue-ups like this one?

Don’t know whether to congratulate you on the finished bowl, or your impressive forethought and patience on the glue up!

Anyway, nice job!
