Project Information
Well I got back in the shop after a year's absence and built a pair of almost twin boxes and taking it easy but it seems good exercise for my sore leg as nothing I have tried has worked ,therapy, doctor, massage etc .
Anyway this was a good challenge and I enjoyed myself and felt better for it .
These boxes are for a couple of guy's that helped me out over the last year and I hope they like them .
Material is maple and some Asian mahogany for the lid and trim and I lined the tray ,inside face of the lid and bottom with a upholstery material and just a little bit of bling and 10mm Soss hinges .
DIM. are 12w x 7d x 6h and finished with wipe on poly .
The building process is straight forward but a little time consuming but no special tools required other then
a seven degree fence on the miter saw that I made for this style of boxes that I call the 777 style because of the 7 deg. slope of the sides .
Any question that you may have I be glad to answer and I may try to make a video also but that will take a while and I will post it here.
Anyway I am glad to be back and hope I can continue .
