This is tackle holder that I designed from a couple of others that I have seen in hunting magazines. I built it for my Dad for his birthday. The wood I used is mahogany. The figuring in the photos dlooks more prononced and the wood looks lighter than it does in real life. I had a great time making it and it can store quite a few lures and rods. He finally got around to telling me he loved it…after he stopped crying! :-)

Great job! You are inspiring me to build something like this for fly fishing gear. Will your’s hang on a wall?

It would be a bit heavy for the wall. I put it on casters so it can be rolled around. But if you just put the rod holders along the sides and not on the back you could size it to fit on the wall. Good luck and let me know if you make it!

Outstanding! Rod rack and storage! I would say that it is saturated with a lot of love and respect. I’m guessing your father took you fishing like mine.

Great job. That is incredible and your dad’s reaction makes it more than worth it.
