I made this cutting board for a friend of mine that has been teaching me to fly fish. I thought this would be a nice way to show my appreciation for him taking the time to show/explain/share gear, etc. I’ve been making these cutting boards for a couple of years now. This is the first one where I thought I’d try adding a little wood burning to it. The wood is cherry, with walnut, padauk, and maple accents.

Nice wood blend and layout … About what size is the board? I really like the fly, keep it as your logo

Thanks! The woodburning is a new addition to the things I make. It’s almost 9”x14”.

Cutting boards can be boring, but you’ve added a little more interest by wood burning a design into the piece. Very nice looking and I’m sure your friend will treasure it. Congrats on your DT3

Thanks John! Yeah, I don’t usually post pictures of cutting boards. I made an exception because of the burning.
