This boot was a long time coming as I never tried to use adornments in my carving projects. It seems that I was not brave enough to fight with the character of the wood. So I took the plunge and added some copper to highlight the toe cap, heel and pull-up straps. I even was courageous enough to add a couple of Caspian Conchos purchased from Tandy Leather. This was an experiment and had its moments as far as the creative process was concerned. But I persevered and the ‘Annie Aokley’ riding boot was the result.

The Bootman from the wild west of Alberta, Canada.
