Hello fellow Lumberjocks! It’s been another long while since I’ve posted anything. But here I am again. After months and months of tinkering, failing, planning and recovery, I present to you all, my third chessboard. I’ll post pics of my second one here in a little while. I didn’t realize I hadn’t been on here in so long. :) But I digress.

This one has sound-activated LED lights inside the playing board, and regular LED lights in the body of the case. The game board wood is curly maple and walnut. The case is a combination of a mystery hardwood (aka one I got from a pallet and never discovered what it was) and Phillipine Mahogany. I turned the chess pieces myself using inspiration from “Wood you make it” on Youtube.

Pretty soon, you’ll be moving the pieces automagically with magnets from underneath. Nice!
