When viewed from the front, this looks like an ordinary mosaic. Viewed at an angle and it acquires a magical depth – wood colors and grain flipping. Woods: Wenge, Bloodwood, Sepele, Poplar, Butternut, Walnut and Mahogany.

That is an impressive effect. Even though I can look at the frame edges and know that the whole thing is 3/4 – 1” thick, my eyes keep trying to tell my brain that it’s three times that thickness inside the frame. It would be interesting if you added a photo showing it face on.
