That Flex Seal really works, it made the end side of the planter completely water proof and was very easy to put on. One coat did the job. I used clear and it had the consistency of malaise and dried looking like gloss ploy with a rubber feel. I was very impressed. Not sure about rubbing on it or handling it a great deal. I’ll try to think of other projects. If you have any suggestions let me know. Thanks for looking, Joe

Beautiful, I will have to keep my wife from seeing it. If she does see it, I have an idea what my next project will be. If I do, I hope it looks as good as yours. Mel

Very clever. Nice looking too. Please if you think about it in a year or two, it would be great to have an update on how the flexseal is holding up.

Great looking flower pot – of course the obvious flex seal project would be to build your own boat/canoe/kayak (hey in the commercials it works on a screen door so why not) But I imagine it would also work for vases, maybe watering cans or buckets. and certainly toy boats. Have fun experimenting.

Joe, I think this is one of your most innovative projects. What a great idea. I like the look. It should open up possibilities for lots of projects. I liked the shots of the flower pot in progress. It helps us really get the idea.
Remind me to give you some flexible veneer next time we get together. I think that veeneer and your water proofing would make a vase that would really work well.

Hi Joe,
Curious if the flex seal has held up for you, a year later?

Zack, Seems to be holding up just fine as of today. As a matter of fact I am making a couple more only this time I am going to finish the outside with Rubio Monocote, or what I like to call liquid gold. Beautiful finish and easy to apply but very expensive. Thanks for asking, stay safe and healthy, Joe
