Made this for Valentines 2018 and ended up not needing it (because I ended it). It has since sat in the shop collecting dust. Just found the pictures and thought I’d share.

Walnut case, spalted maple sliding cover and maple splines. Wood string thingies were just found on Amazon.

PS: Love the Brady orange counter tops I have there in the last pic? LOL

Nice wood choices and came together well , like the sliding lid so hinges can be eliminated

Great contrasts in the wood selected and the build looks teriffic.

There is that Walnut and spalted Maple again. Looks nicer here, finish works eh? I really like that detail you put on the lip of the lid. Usually I am not a fan of “wine boxes” because they look part done. That’s a nice touch.
