Second bat house thread today. I like it, the Bats probably won’t care too much, but the neighbors might like it more, than what most of them look like.

Very nicely done.

That should help keep the mosquito population under control!

You’ve helped me solve my problem. I didn’t put the bat sign on the front of my bat house so they probably don’t recognize it. Hmmm – how to you advertise a vacancy for a bat house? Neighbors would complain about search lights, or a flashing billboard and I can’t afford to pay some bat broad to parade in front of the house either – my wife of 58 years would never put up with that. Anyway – there’s enough of you guys with bat experience out there – help with some suggestions if the subject is ok.

Apparently, all the cool kids are building bat houses. I have it on good authority that all of the YouTube makers will be suddenly posting videos on bat boxes which in no way were inspired by anyone other than themselves. Izzy Swan’s will, of course, be drill powered and Matt Cremona will be using 12/4 slabs.

Great job on yours. Now I will need to show my son how to use the scroll saw!

Have your say...
