Latest project I finished for a coworker who’s a pretty serious fisherman. He’s retiring and I thought this would be a fun gift for him. The scales are made from Beli and I used a mosaic pin for the center pin. Epoxy to hold on the scales and pins with a tung oil finish that has several coats of Tru Oil over the top of that. The knife blank comes from Woodriver, I bought it at Woodcraft. I’ve made a couple of fillet knives with this blank and the steel has actually impressed me with how well it holds an edge.

I just updated the post, thanks for the question! The knife blank is a Woodriver fillet knife blank I got from Woodcraft. The steel has surprised me with how well it stays sharp.

Nice looking knife. I have 2 wood river knife blades LOML got me last Christmas, haven’t gotten to them yet. I know a few people who are saying they are quite pleased with theirs.
