Another “Pith Goblet,” of the Jacaranda that’s getting really close to gone.

It’s only about 6-1/4” tall. Finished on the inside with YG and CA. Outside finished with YG/HS.

Remarkably, I have no more words.

Thank you. And, I apologize.

I didn’t know Jacaranda could look so good Mark. I grew a few Jacaranda trees a few years ago and a very cold North Florida winter took them out. I tossed the wood thinking it was too soft for anything useful.
Nice work on the goblet!

Apology accepted – this lovely goblet does not deserve such a pithy description.

Also I’m pith-ed off because I did not receive the standard LJ notification of this project posting.

Serendipity is your specialty. After a few goblets of wine for me I would be tipping it over because of its height.
Luckily it probably wouldn’t break.

I found some iron wood eucalyptus the city cut down and because or it’s great hardness I made faux ebony plugs and dowels from it.

Like you I’m always searching for fallen tress or tree trunks while I drive.
Mark. Keep the art flowing.
