I had some Brazilian hardwood flooring scraps left over, and decided to make this piece for our living room. I started by cutting a template out of scrap plywood with a jigsaw, and then transferred it to the hardwood flooring (glued together and backed by hardboard) on the router table. I used a trim router to chamfer the edges, and then sealed the sides and back with polyurethane. They are mounted to the wall with a French cleat system. (Lining them up was a challenge!) The finished project is about 4’ square.
