So, I’ve been building an off the grid camp in northern Maine for the last several years. I just finished the kitchen and thought I’d share the pictures. I will admit that the thought of building cabinets was a little intimidating, until I started actually building them. I was going for a simple shaker style cabinet and used some wainscoting that was leftover from another project for the door panels. The cabinets are made from pine, which isn’t the best wood to work with for cabinets… but I was trying to keep costs down. The shelves are live edge pine with stain and a few coats of poly. I also learned how to create dovetails for this project, using a Harbor Freight dovetail jig. My fiancée and I are both super happy with how this turned out.

Dovetail drawers for a camp kitchen. Bravo!
It looks good. Almost too nice for a camp kitchen. (wink)

Yer , excellent.
Your real kitchen must be exquisite.
