About a year ago on of my good friends cut had to cut down a Hickory tree at his parents house, so I got him to send me a bag of it. Now that it is getting dry I made this bowl for his mother. The bowl turned out to be about 7” in diameter. There was a lot of sharping involved to turn it, but the density gave it a feel.

Real nice bowl, I’m surprised the wood didn’t split while drying.
