Timber Rattle Snake stick

All one piece of wood. Naturally twisted Ambrosia Maple stick that had a vine give it some twist. I just cut some more away to see the Timber Rattler climbing down the stick. 1/2 scale Prarie Dog sits on the top. Scales burnt, mostly power carved, glass eyes. SORRY, Twist your head to see the way the pictures were taken.

That’s fabulous!

If you come down the trail with that and meet somebody coming ‘round the bend, they’re going to be jumping and shouting “Look out man, there’s a snake on your stick!”

That’s clever and creative Doug, but the idea of walking with a snake sends shivers up my spine.

Sorry H’71, looked and confirmed you were not on my buddies list, sorry as you have had posts that I have loved.
Picture #5 that has been corrected, leaves me exacerbated. I would have thought that a veteran like you may have had more consideration…. Yep I’m and r’sole… but I am a dogmatic belief follower of my foibles.

Please forgive and accept me to be no longer a considerate buddy list participant!

Nice work Doug! If that stick were in my house some of my neighbor would never come over to visit .

So the snake is climbing DOWN the stick away from the Prairie Dog? Go Dog! Show that snake who’s boss! LOL Great carving, thanks for sharing.
