The top and bottom of this box were one piece, but I sliced into two and hollowed each half and reglued them adding a ring of plywood between. I added a black rim before turning the outside. pic # 3 shows you the bottom side of the vase.

Awesome shape, awesome finish! Interesting wood combination…I’ve got to try some plywood turning combinations…looks pretty cool.
