The Good and Big and Rawry table, (maple crotch coffee table)

Named by my three year old daughter, this table is maple with sapele butterflies. Spent approximately 8 years hand chiseling the butterflies, Filled the cracks with epoxy, and contracted the base. Finished with Danish oil.

Great project and I’m happy to be on to the next…

coffee tables come and go but this one isn’t going anywhere and for 2 reasons. #1 – too heavy to lug around #2 – too beautiful to let it go anywhere

gorgeous table but 8 years on the butterflies? you gotta tell the story!
