Project Information

This is a Black Walnut fireplace mantel I made as a commission for a friend. The angles and dowels were really particular to lay out, but I'm pleased with the finished product. I feel a track saw is in my future, after doing this on my table saw sled and with my cordless 18v saw ;-)

The angles are impressive to match them to the wall. I had to do a double take on the first picture, I was looking at the mantle matching to the wall and the seem of the joint blended so well I missed it. Good job on blending the seem too. It looks beautiful but I'm just as impressed with the layout.
