Wife request, can you make a box for our Nephews Grad, no problem, fist design may get completed some day?
This is what I came up with on second attempt, decided it had to have Dove tails and the Birch that I milled, plus a wee bit bigger, then a little Walnut to bling it up and here it is! Finished with scrapper only no sandpaper then French Polish and wax. A fist on this project, did not have a practice set of D.T.s and last 3 sets just slipped together almost perfectly, sort of scared me? Plus finished a day before needed! On the negative side the Laser engraver decide to lock up and I discovered that Birch is one tough wood, next time burn the message before assembly!

Thanks Not too bad, the first one was Q.S. White Oak and Walnut, but to small and really not a style befitting a young man!

Looks terrific Andre. Love the contrast of the wood colors and also the lid design with splines

True dedication and a beautiful project!

Nice to know your DT saw and scraper won’t leave you in the lurch by “locking up” ant inopportune moments 8^)

As usual Andre, your esthetic is flawless, as is your execution. Yet another masterpiece from Andre!

I love your box andre, You do some beautiful work! I had to mess with the photos to get a better look and thought why not post them here. I hope you don’t mind.
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks everyone. Tony, might be time for a new phone/Camera? My Pic really didn’t do it justice.

Jerry, Jerry, Jerry, someday my skills may come close to yours! Not sure I’ll live that long?

Thanks Klaus, long way to go to compare to that one I get to see everyday, Lori still loves it!
