Made 5 “Fairy Doors” for the J3 Foundations 2018 Fund Raiser (J3 promotes reading for high risk, under served 4th and 5th graders in Los Angeles – https://www.j3foundationla.org). Each door was the entrance to a different “world” that reading can take someone to. While the doors themselves are foam insulation panels, the frames and bases are wood. The strap hinges and key hole escutcheons are hardboard. I designed them to be put up and taken down easily, and to be stored compactly when disassembled.

I also made the “Key Hole Entrance” to the event which is faux ivy over a wooden base and frame.

Credit and thanks go to my wife for all the painting.

Good on you for stepping up.

I’m thinking those fairies must have poor eyesight if they need the BRIGHT colors to bring them home.

Thanks for posting.

Betting SWMBO was one who ‘suggested’ the donated time? BTDTGTTS :-)
Used to donate my time (at SWMBO request) making theater props for charity performances.
You’ve got a kind heart even if it was wife’s idea, and
nice work!
