Walnut bookcase cabinet

Bookcase cabinet made from solid walnut with white pine secondary. The bottom of the cabinet is joined with wedged through tenons that fall in a dado. The top of the bookcase and the carcass are dovetailed. Finished with garnet shellac and wax.

thats a gorgeous book case and i love walnut so 5 stars on that one,and a top 3.

Really like the natural variation showing in the walnut out in the sunlight. Garnet shellac is perfect choice to let the colors show through. Putting such nice piece in a dark room would force me to add more lighting. :-)

That is one massive piece of furniture! How can anyone go wrong using walnut. It never ceases to amaze! Just a flat out fantastic piece!

Oh wow that is stunning! That is a lot of walnut and it is so beautiful to look at. I love the variations in the wood too! How did you affix the shelves?

Each shelf slides into a dado and is sandwiched between the face frame and the back of the bookcase.
