Refurbished an old Dresser that will be upgraded with a removable top to change it into a changing station.

It was originally covered with varnish and specks of white and red paint, wood was exceptionally dry. Drawers run directly on the cross beams and have eaten grooves into the wood, exposing pin nails somebody used to reinforce the cross beams tenons, damaging the drawer rails.

Stripped the entire thing to pieces, stripped paint and varnish, re-glued everything, installed hardwood patches in the cross beams, epoxy resin on the drawer rails, sanded everything and finished it with teak oil and a deep penetrating furniture wax.

The hardware on the dresser also got cleaned, descaled and polished whereas the drawers had to be rounded over and chamfered as the edges were splitting.

Looks great again.

An interesting piece. Nice job.
