Great works. I like the modern look. How did you attach the shelf into the dado? Nail or pocket screw?

Great works. I like the modern look. How did you attach the shelf into the dado? Nail or pocket screw?

I intended on running pieces under the tables connecting each leg with a through mortise and tenon (& small wedges). Tried one and it was going to be very time consuming to do 8 for each table (16 total). I went ahead and used pieces ( with pocket holes) between the legs to help lock everything together and stabilize.
