This is a baby cradle that I made using plans from a Woodcraft kit for my daughter. I modified the plans to fit a standard cradle mattress. I used primarily pine (due to my wife bugging me) while the spindles were oak from the kit. I had both grandfathers help with the construction and we each signed it on the bottom. Since little one is now too big for it, we use it as a cradle to hold all her stuffed animals in her room.

That’s gorgeous! Those stuffed animals will be sleeping well. It’s great that you and your grandfather both signed it. When your daughter uses it for her kids it will be even more special.

Great Job. And nice to have the signatures for ever.

Very nice and a great heirloom with the signatures, the finish looks great can’t tell it’s pine after finished. Well, done.

Very nice cradle Cpthammer. I recall a guy years ago that used to engrave his SS# on all his work and tools. I wonder how hes making out in this age of identity theft? Hmmmm
