Wedding arch

This is a large arch that I was asked to build for a wedding. The frame is OSB. I veneered it with red oak. It’s been walnut stained with a sprayed finish. It comes apart into two halves for moving and storage. The removable feet are for extra stability. They bolt on from underneath. The halves join at the very top and the connection can’t be seen when stood up. I took a lot of time to starburst the grain on the veneer so that it radiates from the center outward. The back and front are identical in that I wanted it to look good on either side. This wasn’t my design, I believe she got the idea from Pinterest. The bride was happy and that’s what matters.
The two people pictured are my son and wife… just for height reference.

Fantastic, looks great. I really like the veneer work on this piece. I have been commissioned to do something similar to this. I may borrow a thing or two from you.

Keep it up
