There must be a million Rocking Horse plans out there. I copied a 30 year old one. Made from scraps. Finished with Varathane.

My grandchildren love climbing on and off it as much as riding it.

Did you forget the flat stops on the end? You know I almost flipped over on the test ride!
Looks better than the original! Maybe some reins and a coat of varnish?

That’s a good looking horse John. I’m laughing here visualizing the grandchildren climbing on it more than riding it. At least its getting used. LOL.

That is a real nice horse. I may have one to make in the future!

Thanks Anthm, I like the looks of this old horse design!

Andre the pen works great! Thanks again!

We have lots of laughs too Dave. Especially when my son gets pushing them around the room, biggest grins you ever saw on kids!

Jim I was thinking of you when I posted this, I know you’ve been making stuff for the little ones.

Very pretty horse.

I do have one comment though; it was already alluded too. Make detents on the ends of the rockers; Keeps little “buckaroos” from being bucked off.

I have made 60 + rocking toys and most were NO WHERE near as pretty as this one. Great looking horse.

Thanks Ralbuck, I will keep an eye on the kids and as they get bigger and wilder I’ll see if there is a problem.
