A place for my wife to keep her new rings

My wife asked me to make something to display the rings I make. She saw my sketches and picked one she liked for the top of her dresser. She seemed so excited about it that I decided to make a template so that I would be able to easily duplicate the shape. I also made a jig to help layout and drill the holes for the pins. This one would be oak and mahogany with canarywood pins. All-in-all a fun project and I already have another one started.

Did you cut the inside out on the bandsaw or use a hole saw?

Steve, I cut it out with my bandsaw and used a home made sanding spindle mounted in my drill press to clean it up.

That’s funny, but I see how that could happen.
