Two Hickory and Walnut Keepsake Boxes
Both boxes made from solid hickory, solid walnut, hickory and walnut veneered panels. They have figured curly walnut for the lids. Both are finished in gloss lacquer first for clarity and then satin lacquer to reduce the sheen. Both are lined in ivory velvet.

Well done kdc. I like how you reversed the handles on the boxes. That gives me a an idea for future builds.

Attractive boxes. They are both great but I really like the legged box. Thanks for sharing.

I too am a leg man. Very cool boxes. It takes gumption to work in hickory.

Good looking boxes, I’m gathering Walnut and Oak scraps to make a box for a grad gift.

Love the hickory and walnut combination. It’s a personal favorite of mine. Great boxes.

Nice job X 2. Awesome grain on the Walnut, and with the Hickory a great contrast. Of course everyone loves DTs, but I prefer the one with the legs.

Congrats on the 3.

I like the one on the left best—or is it the one on the right?!?

Good work.
