OMG, Ron. This is the kind of stuff that, for whatever reason, excites the bejeebies out of me. And, that Mesquite? I keep threatening VIMH that I’m going to drive out to the Mojave and pick some that stuff up.

I just did some boning up on Mesquite. I’ve definitely got to go get me some of that. It’s not as precious as I’ve always thought it was – it’s considered a weed. All this time, I thought it was protected.

Guys this is a mesquite burl and that is why there is so much figuring in the wood. These pieces are from Naves Sawmill in Kingsville Texas South of Corpus
