This is my first completed spoke wheel that I am happy with. I have made many that did not work out and learned along the way. There was a lot of trial and error in making them. And the learning continues…....

The hub and inside wheel are made from Maple, the spokes from bamboo skewers and the outside of Red Oak.

My thanks to HTL for his projects, blogs and videos which were a huge help in learning how to make them. I made a jig similar to his for drilling the holes for the spokes.

Now that’s one pretty wheel!!!
Keep up the great work, and you know from my blogs it took me a long time and many tries before it all started to come together.

Nice wheel, I saw the picture you included on your comment this morning on htl blog. Your jig looks somewhat to the one I built but better. Very nice. I take it you saw the 24 spoke one that I made with the jig I made. Give that one a try, I have a posting and Utube video on it.
