Sorry for the repetition! :) This one is for twins – nicknamed Thunder and Lighting because mom isn’t revealing names so the gal that requested this one wanted something on the box to represent their nicknames. We agreed I’d put a cloud and lightning on the underside of the lid, which really turned out pretty cute. For this one I did 2 of the larger rattles, opposing woods (cherry and maple). The box is maple and sapele and measures 10×7x6 and is lined with ivory canvas, finished with 6 or 7 coats of semi-gloss wipe on poly. The mother and child on top is jatoba. Toys and rattles finished in organic flax oil and beeswax.
Thanks for looking!

I hope everyone calls them Thunder, and Lightning. No matter what their Mom wants them to be known ass. Was that a misspelling, Nah.
Nice box, and double the fun stuff.

Kim, when our son was about three he declared his name was Thundercloud. The name didn’t stick, but maybe it should have. That came to mind when I saw the inside of this box. Nice idea to make use of the inside of the lid. Have you considered rounding the corners more? It is finger friendly and helps the boxes wear through the years. This is a link to a posting that makes the case for rounded corners.
