This is a project that my wife requested to keep our bread eating cat from feasting. My wife makes the best cheese garlic bread, it’s to die for when it’s warm. The box is 16” wide and 15 1/2” to the far back corner. If your looking at it from the top it would look like a baseball home plate. Total height of 7”. I used 1/2” Birch plywood for the box with a 5/16” thick solid maple swing up door using barrel hinges so the door just hangs straight down. The finish is just a few coats of wipe on poly. I printed out bread on the computer and taped it to the door. After a little practice with a plunge router the word Bread magically appeared on the front. I can’t tell you the prize that I received for the finished project, but it was delicious!

That’s really spectacular!

I really like the fact it doesn’t take up counter space.

Beautiful work Jim. Nice and clean interior to keep bacteria growth away and easily cleaned up.
