A few quad bikes and little trucks for prizes, gifts and give aways!!

I had a mate sharpen my wheel cutter then he cut me a stack of Beech wheels as he knows many of my toys go for free or fund raises.

I laminated some timber offcuts together to create some contrast interest to make the bodies. There is a mixture of hardwoods from Oak, Red Gum, Spotted Gum, Ash, Douglas Fur, Merbau along with the Beech.

The finish is home made wipe on poly of tung oil, satin polyurethane and turps; it’s a great finish being out the colour & grain in the timber while giving a clear hard surface for play.

Great work Crowie, I think you told me that pen turning was addictive but something tells me toy making beats it by a long haul. Nice variety mate and lots of kids will be thrilled with them.

Hell crowie, keep this up and you’re gonna need a bigger camera.

Your commitment to charities and making those ankle-bitters happy is beyond reproach… congrats!
