Project Information
Custom ordered, pirate style sign for restaurant. Dimensions 3×0.5 m.
Base board was made of 23 mm firwood - three boards glued with biscuites. Top frame I glued and additionaly nailed with wide head nails - just to get that rustic pirate style. Also I burned all with small hand torch burner and put oak coloured coating.
18mm thick letters I cut from pine playwood, rough with jigsaw, finish cut on bandsaw. Letters were painted by black spray colour. I glued and stapled them to the base.
At the back I put four stripes of playwood, just to strenghten complete construction and to make separation from the future wall, in case of rain (water).
I left choice to customer to make holes to mount it on the wall somehow.
