I’ve had this piece of “Old Hickory” for a while. I saw Blackie’s method of integrating “bandsaw box” with traditional case work and decided the Hickory would look good with Walnut. Carcass was cut out of a red cedar beam short. There could be a couple of “hidey places” built in. Care to guess where? Thanks for viewing

Nice design and executions.

I’m guessing some of the drawers have false bottoms with hiding places beneath.

You’d be right Matt. And one has a wood knot with a hole that perfectly accommodates a piece of bent brass for lifting. The Hickory is as hard as it is pretty.
