This is made of 2×6 VG Fir including the laminated panels. I was inspired to add bow ties to the joints in the stiles and rails as I had never done them before. I had made the yellow cedar screen door with crotch maple panels about 10 years ago.

Beautifully done!
Love the bow ties!

Nice looking doors. The bow ties do give the new door added interest to an already great looking door. Looks like the older one is not showing much weathering.

absolutely beautiful – anybody that dresses up wears a bowie and this door wears them VERY well. I see you added a keyles lock – bravo !

Gorgeous workmanship… What kind of glue did you use?

I used Titebond III (my regular shop glue) on laminating the panels and epoxy on stiles and rails – I like lots of open time when assembling a door!

A bit late seeing this, but I had to congratulate you on both doors. A great look and quality that no doubt will last the life of the house. Good work!
